INFORMATION LETTER
Noupoort Wind Farm invites bursary applications from current students at public South African institutions of higher learning (FETCs, Universities of Technology and Universities). Applicants must live in the geographical area of the Noupoort Wind Farm and must be South African citizens.
Dear Applicant
Please read the instructions before completing the application form.
1. General rules
1.1 Only applications from present students at South African public tertiary institutions of higher learning, or students who will commence with their study programmes in January 2025, who live in the geographical area of the Noupoort Wind Farm will be considered.
1.2 Only application forms completed correctly, in full and accompanied by the required supporting documents will be considered.
1.3 Only applications from Black South African citizens will be considered.
1.4 The completed application form and supporting documents must be submitted on or before 30 September 2024 at the Municipal office or sent by email to b.ndlovu@studytrust.org.za.
2. Required Documents
2.1 A copy of your National Senior Certificate (NSC).
2.2 A transcript of your full academic record – if applicable.
2.3 Proof of registration at the institution you are studying at, or of the acceptance letter from the institution where you plan to register in 2025.
2.4 A certified copy of your ID document.
2.5 Documentation proving the total monthly income of members of your household.
3. Selection Criteria
The main criteria used in the selection of successful applicants to the Noupoort Wind Farm bursary are as follows:
3.1 Academic excellence – Selection will be done on the basis of Grade 12 and/or tertiary academic record.
3.2 Financial need: Applicants must be able to demonstrate that the combined family income (gross) does not exceed R350,000 p/a.
4. S e l e c t i o n P r o c e s s
A limited number of bursaries will be allocated to the most deserving candidates in terms of the above criteria.
5. Noupoort Wind Farm Bursary Value
The value of the bursary will be determined on an individual basis and may be used to cover the following study-related cost items:
5.1 University tuition fees, registration fees and examination fees
5.2 Accommodation in a university residence or equivalent
5.3 Meals
5.4 Learning materials (textbooks, stationary, etc.)
6. Submitted Application Forms: Acknowledgement of Receipt and Outcome
6.1 Receipt: You will receive an email confirming receipt of your completed application form. All properly completed applications received will be considered.
6.2 Outcome: You may expect an email to the address provided in your application informing you of the provisional outcome of your application by 21 December.
