SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION AND MARKET DAY

April 2023.

An Exhibition and Marketing event, which provided an opportunity for 32 local SMMEs to showcase and market their businesses was recently hosted. Held in collaboration with Business E-Zone Noupoort, this undertaking was funded by Noupoort Wind Farm and forms part of a broader and ongoing development initiative aimed at providing an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to network, learn and grow their businesses.

The event, held in the town centre, at the communal out-door gymnasium park, provided entrepreneurs with the opportunity to exhibit their products and services while also receiving valuable information on compliance and regulations from Business Ezone.

Two inspiring entrepreneurs, Olwethu Tshoma of Yibanathi General Traders and Mrs Nomonde Teki of Unyanisile, also gave motivational talks to the attendees, sharing their experiences and insights on entrepreneurship.

“The Noupoort Exhibition and Market Day was an incredible experience. The colourful tents, the stunning stands, and the strong presence of women reminded me of Noupoort in its glorious days,” expressed Nomonde Teki, Director of Unyanisile, a company that sells traditional wear, beads, tekkies and table cloths. “My wish is to see more colourful tents and people showcasing their talents, with the community supporting their efforts. These kinds of initiatives hold the potential to enhance the standard of living in our town.”

In addition, ten lucky entrepreneurs were awarded business services vouchers during the event, to assist them in the further growth and development of their businesses.

“We are pleased with the success of this entrepreneurial initiative and the positive feedback we received from attendees. As a responsible corporate citizen, Noupoort Wind Farm remains committed to supporting small businesses in the community and contributing to the economic growth and development of Noupoort,” concluded Noupoort Wind Farm Economic Development Manager, Sandisiwe Mntonintshi.
